Boosting How Much Fluoride Your Teeth Get

Posted on 8/20/2016 by Heather Erickson
Two bottles of fluorinated water beside each other.Having fluoride on your teeth is important when it comes to keeping them strong, healthy, and not full of cavities. There are many different ways that you can add fluoride into your daily routine. If you do not believe you are getting enough of it, ask your dentist. He or she will tell you if your teeth could benefit from adding a little more or if you are getting enough.

For Those That Need More Fluoride, Consider These Options

One of the ways that you can add fluoride to your routine is by adding a fluoride-enhanced mouthwash to your daily brushing routine.

Swishing with this type of mouthwash is going to let it soak into the porous surfaces of your teeth, helping them to remain strong and avoid cavities.

You should also make sure that you are using a toothpaste that is enhanced with fluoride. That way, while you are brushing, you get more of the fluoride in your mouth, and your teeth can reap the rewards.

Another way that you can get a bit more fluoride into your body is by making sure to drink tap water whenever you can. In most municipalities, they add fluoride to the water, allowing you to get more of it with each glass you have. Save money by avoiding bottled water, and give your teeth the benefits at the same time.

Making sure that you have enough fluoride is important when it comes to keeping your teeth safer from the effects of tooth decay. Rinse with fluoride regularly, make sure your toothpaste has some in it, and drink water from the tap, and you should notice an overall improvement in the health of your teeth.

Just make sure you confirm with your dentist before you change your routine to make sure you do, in-fact, need the extra fluoride. Please contact us if you have any questions about fluoride.
